Conservation Day – Gorse Gone

Today’s conservation work was successful and enjoyable thanks to the many volunteers and the fine sunny weather.

The work party comprised three groups: Friends of The Heath (FoTH), Cheshire Wildlife Trust (CWT) and The Conservation Volunteers (TCV). The enthusiastic contributions of so many people meant we got through the work quickly.

By the end we had cleared all of the gorse bushes from the re-seeded heather area, so allowing the heather to continue to establish itself without competition.

Thank you everyone for helping today. We enjoyed your company and we hope to see you again in the future.
