Volunteers Cutting Gorse

Volunteers Cutting Gorse

Flag on The Heath

Today’s mild weather was a welcome contrast to the snowfall that caused us to cancel our previous session in January.

We had a good turnout of six volunteers who cleared young gorse from the heather near the grassland, then moved on to the sandpit, where we found patches of delightful Red Pixie Cup lichen.

Thank you to all who turned out. We could not have done it without you.
