Conservation Work Report – 1st December

Gorse-cleared Space

Gorse-cleared Space

It was a cool, misty morning on the first day of December.

We had a productive session clearing gorse and tree saplings in the sand pit. Jamie of Cheshire Wildlife Trust cut the scrub with his power tools while the five volunteers collected it to create a huge brash pile.

Our aim is to create open space for the heather to colonise.

Thank you to all who turned out. We could not have done it without you.
