The weather-gods must be friends of The Heath because they kept the forecast rain at bay. They allowed our fourteen volunteers to scour all parts of The Heath in fine weather. Only when we had finished and cleared away did the torrential rain start.
Our volunteers included two high-school students who did more than their fair share. After returning with two sacks-full, they trundled off again with a wheelbarrow to collect a large pile they had found.
The largest item we cleared away was a car tyre. On a smaller scale, we found a recently-lost key. We are trying to find the owner so we can return it to them.
Well done everyone and thank you!
