Conservation Day – Digging & Cutting

P4125668-003

Tuesday’s team comprised Friends of The Heath, Cheshire Wildlife Trust and a Knutsford Academy student.

In total we had ten volunteers, sufficient to do two tasks. One group replaced rotten fence posts that mark the boundary between the reserve and the open grassland, while the other group cut and stacked brash along the boundary with Ladies Mile.

When lunch time came we were ready for a rest and happy when the kettle eventually roared away to brew our refreshing tea!

  • A tidy brash pile
  • Volunteer Clare
  • Michelle Lighting Kettle
  • Michelle Boiling Kettle

It was a successful day and an enjoyable one.

Thank you to all our fantastic volunteers!
