The seasons are rolling on and it is time for our autumn litter pick.
We thought things were getting back to normal and we would be able to meet up in the usual manner for a community litter pick on a Sunday morning. But the Covid-19 restrictions have tightened and we now have the rule-of-six, making a group gathering impossible.
All the same, we want to go ahead with the litter pick as scheduled. So we are proposing to run it like the previous event in June when lots of people did a bit during the weekend but at a time of their own choosing.
We recommend that you take a stroll, with a large bin bag and gloves so that you can collect what you find.
When you have finished, you should drop your bag next to the bin near the Tabley Road – Manchester Road junction. We shall arrange for the pile of bags to be collected.
When deciding where to stroll, perhaps go into the woodland – now is the time to seek out litter there before the autumn leaves fall and cover it.
The Committee will be out doing their bit, so do wave if you see us. Whether we see you or not, we would love to hear from you. Please share your messages and photographs. We’ll be watching Twitter, Facebook and email.
Lend us your support as “many hands make light work”.
