Conservation Work – Call for Volunteers

Conservation Volunteers at Work

After a two-year break, we are scheduling conservation work events in the nature reserve again. The work is crucial to maintaining the ecological balance within the site.

We have drawn up a six-month schedule of sessions on Thursday mornings between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm:

  • 15th September
  • 20th October
  • 17th November
  • 15th December
  • 19th January
  • 16th February

The first event, on 15th September, will likely entail scrub removal from the heather areas. Cheshire Wildlife Trust will supervise the work and provide the tools. Volunteers should bring their own gardening gloves or equivalent.

Please use the contact form to let us know if you will join us on the 15th so that we can ensure we have sufficient tools for everyone.

Meet by the nature reserve interpretation board.

As ever, many hands make light work.
