Max and Zoe, two young volunteers, have been keeping The Heath clean for the past twelve months.

They had often joined their parents for our community litter picks. So, when they enrolled in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, they decided to take on litter picking as their volunteering activity. They set themselves the ambitious goal of collecting 100 kg of litter each by visiting The Heath every week. Happily, they achieved it last month.
During the months of their activity, The Heath was noticeably cleaner, and we received many comments praising their work.
They have now moved on to new endeavours, and we wish them every success with their future goals.
We encourage young people looking for volunteering opportunities to consider activities to help look after The Heath. If you would like to explore ideas with us, please get in touch through our contact page.
