Thank you everyone for making our first conservation work day a success. We made good progress in clearing gorse from the around the sand pit and we’d have achieved more if the poor weather hadn’t hampered us. By lunch time we were soaked through so had to stop.
Today we cut back the gorse and strimmed the old heather, actions that should encourage new heather to grow and spread in the area. We will continue the job on future work days and we hope you will be able to join us.
